Set up a welcome email series

A ready-made welcome series: emails already written, on in a minute. 1:23, recorded on a real SendBunny install.

In short

A welcome email series greets each new subscriber at their own moment. In SendBunny, press New automation and pick Welcome series, one of 14 ready-made automations with their emails already written: a welcome right away, three things worth knowing two days later, then a last email that depends on whether they clicked. It asks only for the list, your business name, your website and your own tips, and it will not turn on until they are written. You can also start it for people already on the list.

Transcript

  1. Use an automation when each person should get an email at their own moment, not everyone at once: a welcome, a birthday, a trial that's ending, or a come-back offer. A trigger starts it, then come emails, waits, and if or else steps. Klaviyo calls these flows, and Kit calls them sequences.

  2. Let's set up the classic: a welcome series. Press New automation. You can start from scratch, but there are fourteen ready-made ones, with their emails already written. Pick Welcome series.

  3. It shows exactly what it'll do: a welcome right away, three things worth knowing two days later, and then a different last email, depending on whether they clicked. Every email's here to read.

  4. It only asks what it needs: the list new people join, your business name and your website. The parts only you can write, like your tips, are marked, and it won't turn on until they're written. Press Use this template.

  5. It's saved as a draft, so give it a look. Then press Turn on. You can also start it for the people already on the list.

  6. From now on, everyone who joins gets it. The People tab shows who's in it right now, and where they are.
