Find your way around SendBunny

The dashboard, the menu, and campaign vs automation vs transactional. 1:30, recorded on a real SendBunny install.

In short

Once you send, the dashboard shows what was delivered, opened and clicked, and the strip on top shows your account's health and daily limit. The to finish list takes you straight to what is left to set up. The menu groups Email, Marketing, Audience and Configuration, and tools with a lock come with Premium. A campaign is one email to many people, an automation goes out by itself when something happens, and transactional email is one email to one person, sent by your app.

Transcript

  1. This is your dashboard. On day one it's empty, which is exactly right. Once you send, it shows what was delivered, opened and clicked, and the strip along the top shows your account's health and how much you can send in a day.

  2. Top right, the to finish list shows what's left to set up, like letting Amazon send to anyone, or your company's name and address for the email footer. Each item takes you straight to the fix.

  3. Now the menu. Email has your inbox and the emails your app sends. Marketing has campaigns, automations, forms, landing pages and templates. Audience has your people, and Configuration has your domains, API keys and settings.

  4. See the little locks? Those tools come with Premium. Click one, and SendBunny shows you what it does, so you know it's there when you need it. Everything else here is yours, free.

  5. Before we go on, the three ways to send, because every tool names them differently. A campaign is one email to many people, at a time you choose, like a newsletter or a sale. An automation goes out by itself when something happens, like a welcome when someone joins. And transactional email is one email to one person, sent by your own app, like a receipt or a password reset. If you've used Kit, campaigns are what it calls broadcasts. In Klaviyo, automations are flows.

  6. Stuck at any point? The help button at the bottom left reaches us directly.
