What does deploy to my AWS account mean?
sendbunny installs into your AWS account with a small CloudFormation template (six readable resources). Campaigns, contacts, and analytics live in your account. You pay Amazon SES directly for sending (about $0.10 per 1,000 emails). We never hold your AWS credentials.
What happens if I don't buy the yearly maintenance plan?
You still own the version you deployed, forever. It keeps running in your AWS account. You simply won't receive one-click updates, bug fixes, or new features until you renew. You can add or renew maintenance later at the same price.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Premium later?
Yes. You can upgrade by paying the price difference. Your existing data, contacts, and settings stay in your AWS account through the upgrade.
Do I need DevOps or AWS expertise?
No. Checkout gives you a Deploy to AWS button that opens the console pre-filled. You click Create stack once. Most people are signed into their dashboard in about ten minutes.
How does billing work with AWS?
The license is $99 (Basic) or $199 (Premium), paid once to sendbunny. Amazon SES bills you for emails you send, about $0.10 per 1,000 after the free tier. If you send nothing, idle cost is essentially $0. There are no sendbunny per-email fees.
Is this good for GDPR and data residency?
Your lists and message data live in your AWS account and region. We never see your contacts or campaign content. You control residency and export with standard AWS tools.
What's included in yearly maintenance?
One-click updates for 12 months: bug fixes, security patches, and new features for your edition. Basic maintenance is $49/year. Premium is $99/year. Cancel anytime. You keep the version you have.
What's the difference between Basic and Premium?
Both include campaigns, unlimited contacts, the transactional API, analytics, and one-click deploy. Premium adds a team inbox to send and receive, plus priority support. AI email generation and an MCP server are coming soon with Premium maintenance.
