## In short

When an address bounces, or someone marks your email as spam, SendBunny adds it to the suppression list by itself so you never email it again, and you can add addresses yourself. An unsubscribe is different: the person stays a contact but never gets marketing email. Sender identities lists your domains and verified addresses, and each domain can turn open and click tracking on or off. Treat open rates as a rough guide; clicks are the number to trust.

## Transcript

0:03 Suppression is your blocked list. When an address bounces, or someone marks your email as spam, SendBunny adds them here by itself, so you never email them again. That protects your good name with Gmail and Outlook. You can add an address yourself, too.

0:21 Three words that sound alike. A bounce means the address doesn't take mail. A complaint means someone pressed the spam button. Both are blocked automatically, because emailing them again would hurt your reputation. An unsubscribe is different: they asked to stop, so they stay a contact, but never get marketing email.

**Good to know: Bounce, complaint or unsubscribe?**

- Bounce: the address doesn't take mail. Blocked automatically.
- Complaint: they pressed "spam". Blocked automatically.
- Unsubscribe: they asked to stop. Still a contact, never sent marketing.
- Mailchimp calls bounced addresses cleaned. Postmark calls this list suppressions.

0:41 Sender identities lists your domains and verified addresses. Add another domain any time, and it gets its own short setup.

0:50 In each domain's settings you can turn open and click tracking on or off. Some mail apps open every email by themselves, so treat open rates as a rough guide. Clicks are the number to trust.
