## In short

SendBunny's setup guide connects Amazon SES in six steps. Add your domain: SendBunny sends from a subdomain, and adds every record for you if the domain is on Route 53. Copy the DNS records that prove the mail is yours, then verify your own address while Amazon's sandbox only lets you send to verified addresses. When you are ready for everyone, Request in AWS console asks Amazon for production access; approval usually takes a day or two. Amazon bills sending directly, from about $0.10 per 1,000 emails.

## Transcript

0:03 Step one: the domain your emails come from. We'll use freedomain.tech. If your domain is on Amazon Route 53, SendBunny adds every record for you. Ours is with another provider, so we'll copy a few by hand. SendBunny sends from a subdomain, so it never gets in the way of the email you already use.

0:24 Step two: the records. They prove to Gmail, Outlook and everyone else that the mail really comes from you, which keeps you out of spam. Copy each one into your domain provider, then press I've added these records.

0:37 Checking usually takes a few minutes. And there it is: verified. The guide moves on by itself.

0:43 Step three: sending. Amazon delivers your email and bills you directly, from about ten cents for every thousand emails. Every new Amazon account starts in a test mode called the sandbox, where you can only send to addresses you've verified. When you're ready for everyone, press Request in AWS console. Approval usually takes a day or two.

1:06 To try everything today, verify your own address. Type it, press Send verification email, and click the link Amazon sends you.

1:23 Step four is a receiving inbox, so replies land right here in SendBunny. We'll use support at our sending domain. That's one more record to copy, or skip it and come back later.

1:36 Step five: your first list. A list is a group of people you send to, like your newsletter readers. Name it and press Create list.

1:45 Step six finishes the guide, and setup's done.
